#Six Arrested in Connection with Bank Robberies in Kumasi

The Ashanti regional police command has apprehended six individuals, including five Nigerians and one Ghanaian, in connection with a string of bank robberies targeting customers in Kumasi.
According to DCOP Emmanuel Teye Cudjoe, the regional police commander, the suspects allegedly followed their victims after they withdrew large sums of money from financial institutions. The suspects would then break into the victims’ vehicles and steal their valuables.
The operation is said to have been ongoing for the past month, with the police working to identify and apprehend the culprits. The suspects are currently in custody, and further investigations are underway. The police commander has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
