Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with Murder of 17-Year-Old Francis Mensah

The Kwesimintim District of the Western Region Police Command has arrested Anthony Acquah in connection with the murder of his 17-year-old brother, Francis Mensah. The incident occurred on August 16, 2025, at approximately 6:00 pm at Manpong-Pepease, a suburb of Sekondi.

According to preliminary investigations, the suspect and the victim had a misunderstanding, which escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, Anthony Acquah stabbed his brother to death.

The police received tangible intelligence and arrested Anthony Acquah at his hideout in Kojokrom near Sekondi on August 20, 2025. The suspect is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.

The police command has confirmed that the suspect went into hiding immediately after committing the crime and was only arrested four days later. The case is still under investigation, and further details will be released as more information becomes available.
