The Western Central Regional Police Command has announced the arrest of one person, Daniel Cudjoe alias Ato Asare, in connection with a violent incident that occurred at Simpa on September 28, 2025. According to the police report, the incident involved rival groups and resulted in the recovery of pump-action guns.
The arrested suspect was allegedly part of a group involved in the violence, and the police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Ten other individuals were also reportedly arrested in connection with the incident, although one of them, Emmanuel Cudjoe, Daniel’s brother, was among those deceased.
The police command is working to determine the cause of the violence and to bring those responsible to justice. Further investigations are ongoing to establish the extent of the suspects’ involvement and to recover any additional evidence.
