Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with Nsuhia Murder


Accra, Ghana – The Ghana Police Service has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of a brutal incident that occurred in Nsuhia, Bono Region. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of two timber concession guards and the burning of a vehicle at Mpamso forest near Nsuhia on October 26, 2025.

According to a press release issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Ghana Police Service on November 4, 2025, the Bono Regional Police Command apprehended Bashiru Kinda, a 45-year-old motor mechanic. The arrest was made following police intelligence. During a search of Kinda’s room, authorities recovered a loaded pistol, four mobile phones, machetes, talismans, and other amulets.

Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relation Officer of the Bono Regional Command, confirmed that efforts are underway to identify other individuals potentially involved in the crime to aid in the ongoing investigation. Arrangements are also being made to arraign the suspect before court.

The incident, which took place in the Dormaa Central Municipality of the Bono Region, has prompted the police to intensify their investigations to bring all perpetrators to justice.
