Eugene Boakye Antwi, former Member of Parliament for Subin, has expressed disappointment in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) leadership, citing the lack of a credible membership register as a significant concern.
According to Antwi, the NPP’s 33-year existence and two terms in government should have yielded a robust membership register. Instead, he describes the current situation as a “real shame.” Antwi emphasized that a membership register is fundamental to any organization’s credibility.
The former MP’s comments highlight internal party challenges and raise questions about the NPP’s organizational structure. This criticism comes at a time when political parties are expected to demonstrate transparency and accountability.
The NPP has yet to respond to Antwi’s comments. However, this development may spark discussions within the party about addressing internal issues and improving its organizational framework. Alexander Afriyie
