In a major operation, the Cyber Security Authority Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, National Security, and the Ghana Immigration Service, arrested 141 suspects involved in cybercrime activities across Tabora and Lashibi. The suspects, believed to be Nigerian nationals, were involved in various crimes, including Mobile Money (MoMo) fraud, romance scams, sextortion, Business Email Compromise (BEC), and wire fraud.

The operation, carried out early morning, resulted in the recovery of 38 laptops and 150 mobile phones suspected to have been used in the commission of cyber-enabled financial crimes. A Ghanaian landlord who accommodated 100 of the suspects was also arrested for allegedly facilitating the crimes.

The Cyber Security Authority has vowed to continue combating cybercrime, urging the public to report suspicious digital activities and support national efforts to tackle the menace.
