A 25-year-old man, Kolie Samuel, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for robbing a female victim of her iPhone 16 Pro Max at Millennium City near Golden Pride Preparatory School. The Ofaakor Circuit Court handed down the sentence on July 15, 2025, after Samuel was found guilty of robbery and causing harm.
According to the Central East Regional Police Command, Samuel targeted the victim around 5:30 a.m. on July 10, 2025, seizing her handbag containing the iPhone 16 Pro Max and an unspecified amount of cash. Police arrested him the same day in Ngleshie Amanfro, Accra, following intelligence-led investigations assisted by the victim.
During a search of Samuel’s belongings, police recovered the victim’s phone and other stolen items, including a Dell laptop, four mobile phones, AirPods, jewelry, and memory cards. The court sentenced Samuel to 14 years for robbery and five years for causing harm, with both sentences to run concurrently ¹.
