It is interesting and pathetic seeing middle aged Hagar Gyamfi in labour being carried on a wooden door from Abrokyire, a farming community in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region to about six miles close by clinic at Boinson to deliver.
Information gathered indicated that because of the unmotorable nature of the road, the residents have to walk miles to access taxi, and hours more to get to the clinic.
The residents maintain that they have to carry patients on wooden doors or tied to motorbikes to be transported to health facilities at a distance over river Boin.
