#Two Fishmongers Fined for Receiving Stolen Tilapia

The Amasaman Circuit Court has handed down fines to two fishmongers, Lady Ayawah and Faustina Kattah, for dishonestly receiving stolen tilapia. The court imposed a fine of 100 penalty units, equivalent to GH¢1,200, on each of the women.
According to the facts presented in court, the two fishmongers received stolen tilapia valued at GH¢100,000. They pleaded guilty to the charges and were convicted on their own plea.
