2 suspects in KBTH thievery granted bail with two sureties

The two persons suspected to have engaged in illegal blood selling business at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) who were handed over to the police for investigations have been arraigned and granted bail to two sureties.
The two – Wilfred Tortsie and Kwabena Adu Twum who appeared before an Accra District Magistrate Court, Adjabeng were pleaded not guilty to all charges.
However, the court presided over by Nana Adwoa Serwaa Adonteng, held that the duo be granted bail with two sureties to the tune of 20,000 Ghana Cedis.
They are to reappear before the court on July 12, 2021 and in addition, they are to report to the police every Wednesday until their reappearance in court. 
Background 
It could be recalled that on May 22, 2021 the Public Relations Unit of the KBTH issued a press release that the security of the hospital had arrested two suspected persons who alleged engaged in illegal blood selling business at the hospital and were handed over to the Korle Bu Police for investigations.
A copy of the release which was available to the ghanacrimereport.com read that the suspects were arrested at around 2.am on May 22, 2021 at the third floor of the Surgical Ward of the hospital where the two attempted to steal several prints of blood which had been mobilized for various surgical procedures.
