Solomon Siaw Tetteh, a suspect accused of leading a car theft syndicate, has been re-arrested in Ghana. The syndicate allegedly operates in the Krobo area of the Eastern Region, targeting vehicles for theft.
Unusual Use of Stolen Vehicles
Investigations reveal that the stolen vehicles are dismantled and transformed into coal pots, with other parts sold on the black market. Authorities discovered partially dismantled vehicles and evidence of coal pot production during a raid.
Arrest and Escape.
Three suspects were initially arrested, but Tetteh escaped. He has since been re-arrested. The operation came to light after a GPS-equipped Hyundai H1OO Van was stolen from Nkurakan.
Ongoing Investigations.
