Residents of Dambai in the Oti Region of Ghana were thrown into a state of shock last Thursday after a ten year old was found dead.
He was seen hanged to a tree and his remains have been deposited at the morgue waiting for autopsy.
He was a class three pupil of Dace Demo Primary School in Dambai, whose demise has left many residents in dismay while others are also in doubt he could hang himself, suspecting murder.
In an exclusive interview with a co- tenant and driver at the Oti Regional Co-ordinating Council, who pleaded anonymity revealed to the ghanacrimereport.com recalled that the deceased came to him on Wednesday evening when he returned from his journey, a day before his demise.
“I traveled to cape coast. When I returned yesterday, he came to welcome me. I gave him a loaf of bread & even asked him to wait outside since he wanted to watch a movie in my room. He normally comes around whenever I return from a journey”, He intimated in a grieve mood.
Checks made by the ghanacrimereport.com show that his mother asked him to follow her to evening church service but he declined with the excuse that he was not feeling well.
And at a time when his mother had left, and people in the house were not around, he went about hanging himself on a mango tree near the house.
His remains were however, deposited at the morgue of the Worawora Government Hospital while the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service in the municipality has begun investigations into the matter.
