A 32-year-old filmmaker, Israel Agbo Forson, has been remanded by the Dansoman Circuit Court for recording and circulating a video that threatens to kill any police officer he encounters. Forson, who described himself as a filmmaker, was arrested on June 23, 2025, after police intelligence identified him as the individual in the viral video.

Background of the Incident
The incident dates back to June 18, 2025, when a National Police Patrol Team stopped an Uber vehicle near Wisconsin University, with Forson as a passenger. The team requested to search the vehicle and Forson’s luggage, but he objected, demanding that officers wear gloves before conducting the search. This led to a verbal exchange, during which Forson recorded the incident.

Charges and Court Proceedings
Forson was subsequently granted police enquiry bail after a search of his residence yielded no incriminating evidence. However, he allegedly recorded another video after his release, threatening to kill any police officer who crossed his path, which was shared on social media. He has been charged with threat of death and pleaded not guilty. The court has adjourned the case to August 25, 2025.

Bail Conditions
Forson was later granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with three sureties. Two of the sureties must be public servants earning at least GH¢5,000 and residing within the court’s jurisdiction, while the third surety must provide title deeds. He is required to deposit his Ghana Card with the court registry and report to the police investigator every other day.
