The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region is facing criticism over its poor performance in recent elections. The party’s Regional Chairman, Abronye, is being blamed for the party’s decline.
In 2016, the NPP had 11 seats in the region. However, in 2020, they lost 5 seats, retaining only 6. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) gained ground, increasing its seats from 1 to 6.
The situation worsened in 2024, where the NPP lost further ground, retaining only 1 seat. Meanwhile, the NDC surged to 11 seats.
Many are questioning Abronye’s leadership and wondering what he and his team have achieved. The party’s poor performance has sparked calls for change.
Is Change Needed?
The NPP’s decline in the Bono Region raises questions about Abronye’s leadership. Will the party change its leadership or strategies to improve its performance?
