The Police Intelligence Directorate in the Ashanti Region has announced the arrest of five individuals in connection with a series of alleged armed robberies in the Denchemuoso District. The arrests were made on April 22, 2025, and the individuals are currently in police custody.
According to the police, the suspects were identified and apprehended following credible intelligence. They have been charged and arraigned before the Atasomanso Circuit Court on May 13, 2025. The court remanded them into police custody, and they are scheduled to reappear on June 4, 2025.
The police are continuing their investigation and working to apprehend one additional individual who remains at large. Efforts are also underway to recover the alleged robbery weapons.
