Asante Bekwai Circuit Court presided over by Mark Diboro Tairima has granted a bail of GHS20, 000 with two sureties to a 22 year old Indian national, Jassy Singh for defiling and impregnating 15-year-old.
Presenting the facts of the case,Chief Inspector Stephen Ofori told the court that Singh a caretaker of excavators in a mining enticed the victim and had sex with her at Manso Atwere in the Ashanti Region.
Chief Inspector Ofori said the victim’s mother; Adwoa Mansah on 7th December 2020 reported the matter to the police after her attention was drawn to the development. The suspect was later arrested and afterwards arraigned before the court for defilement.
The case has been adjourned the case to 31 March 2021.
