Okada rider, 17, found dead at Bowohomoden

A seventeen-year-old motor rider (okada rider) has been found dead on the roadside at Bowohomoden near Sankore in the Asunafo South District of the Ashanti Region.
He is identified as Abubakar Saddick, popularly known in the area as “Abuzy” and his remains have been rushed to the morgue for autopsy at the Goaso Government Hospital.
According to the Sakore Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Commander, General Sergeant Steven Amponsah, the incident was reported by the Assembly Member for the Sankore North Electoral Area, Ishmael Mohammed.
He said the assembly member got hint of the tragedy last Saturday at around 10.30am that the deceased was lying dead on the roadside at Amponsah Junction, Bowohomoden and quickly reported to the police at Sankore.
He said the police personnel collaborated with the Krontihene of Sankore, Nana Tabiri Gyansah and proceeded to the crime scene.
The deceased was tied up in yellow rope for both of his arms and legs and his mouth also covered with sellotape, while a pair of scissors was also found lying besides the deceased, in what the police suspect as murder attack by unknown assailants.
He said the police were quickening steps to investigate the suspected murder.
