A 22 year old labourer, Francis Awuni has beheaded his master one Azumah, a father of six on Thursday at Sefwi Amoakrom in the Bia West District of the Western North Region.
Awuni committed the crime around 4pm at his master’s own rice farm at Sefwi Amoakrom and afterwards handed himself to the police.
He has since confessed to the police for killing his boss
According to Mr. Edward Takyi, the Assemblyman for Amoashed Electoral Area, the deceased (Azumah) employed Awuni from the Northern part of Ghana as a rice farm labourer and Awuni has been doing that work for the past three months.
The suspect alleged that his late boss Azumah had used machete to cut him multiply times without provocation as he tried to kill him for money rituals but he (suspect) managed to overpower him and hacked off his head.
Francis Awuni is in Police custody assisting investigations. The body has been deposited at the Bia West Government hospital for an autopsy.
